Just couldn't resist.

The temptation was just too big ! When I saw this jacket at Ravelry I was immediately taken with it. Before I knew it I had orderded the yarn ( really I couldn't help myself ) on sunday evening. This morning the package arrived and I just HAD to cast on ! I made a swatch first just to be sure it was right. It is the yarn that is used in the pattern but you never know !
This is going to be the Drops 103-1 jacket http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=103&d_id=1 I am using the Drops Eskimo in color Dark Grey # 14.
The finished versions are very nice, it's a very versatile jacket, to be worn casual on jeans but also nice on a skirt. Besides this knits up VERY quick, this is the result of less than 1 hour work.

The yarn is a 100% wool and is very soft and fuzzy. I don't know how spinners call this but it seems like fiber straight from the batt to me.

The Tangle Yoke isn't forgotten, I just started a sleeve on 2 circulars. This is the first time I am knitting in the round, so it's not going very fast yet....

BTW the stitch markers from the last post are from Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5130205 go and take a look.

Middle daughter is doing fine ! So are we.....

You are making Drops too!!! I am over the moon for that sweater - can't wait to see yours.

About the two circulars - you will get the hang of it. I love it - it's the only way I knit in the round.

: )

It almost looks like unspun in that yarn shot you took?

It's going to be nice! Lovely pattern.

I think that sweater will be really pretty, I love the color of the yarn! It does look so soft and fuzzy. I love that all those patterns are FREE at Drops too :)

Keep up the good work with your tangled yoke sleeves too, I've never tried knitting with 2 circ's yet. But I've wanted to, maybe I should give it a shot sometime.

Oh, you sent me the worst bit of temptation with that link to those stitch markers too lol! So many sweet pretty sets to choose from, but I am particularly drawn to the lemons and oranges for some odd reason. I really think the fall leaves are just beautiful as well too, and the little sweater set was cute. I want some now lol ;)!!I do really need some new stitch markers too is the thing, maybe I can persuade my DH....

I love that sweater. :)

And I'm sorry to hear about your empty nest. I always think there should be some middle ground - it's so noisy when they're little and then they leave and it's so quiet! :sigh:

Ohhhh lovely :) I have printed that pattern out and intended using yarn from my stash but that yarn does look gorgeous a very loosely spun single ply. I am still spinning yarn for the tangled yoke so enough to be getting on with I think for me !!.

I really love your choices of yarn, very very pretty!

So happy your other yarn finally came in the mail.

Hope your daughters are doing fine out there, Marianne... and that they will visit you often!

That seems to be a very popular sweater in Blogland these days. I have some yarn in my stash that might just work. Looks lovely,
Li

Hey, we're totally on the same knitting wavelength right now! I'm swatching for a tangeled yoke cardigan and I just cast on for that Drops jacket too!
